Vinegars

Making a herbal vinegar is much like making a tincture: you take a herb, shove it in a jar and fill it with vinegar. Easy peasy!

But they’re weaker and don’t last as long as tinctures, so why bother?

Well, vinegars are more cost effective to prep: a 5l bottle of white vinegar is much cheaper than buying 5l of vodka. Vinegars also gentler, so you can use them for more topical applications, like a facial cleanser or a hair rinse. This makes it more suitable to use for children’s care too.

If starting out with vinegars for the first time, I recommend making rosemary vinegar: it’ll make your hair shine, and grow longer and thicker than ever!

There’s also a popular immune booster called fire vinegar: you take garlic, ginger, tumeric, chillies, honey, cinnamon, rosemary, orange, and stick them all in a jar together. Fill it up with apple cider vinegar, et voila! An epic immune booster. Take a shot a day, and you’re better protected from all the bugs going around.
